N’Golo Kante got one of the goals for Chelsea on Sunday in their 3-0 win trouncing of Tottenham Hostpur in the London derby.
The French midfielder who had a spectacular game on Sunday found the back of the net in the 57th minute of the Premier League tie at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
After both firing blanks in the first 45 minutes, the Blues came out stronger for the second half and they shot into the lead four minutes after the resumption.
Thiago Silva broke the deadlock; heading in the ball off an assist from Marcos Alonso.
The visitors had their lead doubled moments after Mateo Kovacic set up Kante for the second goal of the game and while it looked like the two goals were enough, Antonio Ruediger put the icing on the win with a third goal in added time
With the three points from the derby clash, Thomas Tuchel’s men are levelled on 13 points with Liverpool and Manchester United after five games.
Also on Sunday Cristiano Ronaldo scored his fourth goal in just three appearances for Manchester United as the Red Devils’ battled to a 2-1 win over West Ham.
David De Gea saved a last-gasp penalty to help the Red Devils claim the maximum points.
In the other game also played on Sunday, Brighton continued their good start to the season as they edged Leicester City 2-1.
Danny Welbeck sealed the win for the hosts as the introduction of Ademola Lookman in the 46th minute and Kelechi Iheanacho in the 75th minute was unable to save the Foxes from their third League defeat in five games.
