Self-styled Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho on Monday visited Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo state for an on-the-spot assessment of the level of damage, a day after the town was attacked by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
During the visit, Igboho also tried to comb the forest with his boys in search of the killer herdsmen but claimed he was prevented from entering the forest by a team of fully armed soldiers, who followed his convoy in about eight Hilux vehicles immediately they arrived the town.
It will be recalled that several Yoruba people were massacred by suspected herdsmen in Igangan, also the palace of the Asigangan, the paramount ruler of the area was also burnt
According to the attached video narration, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho’s attempt to enter Igboho was truncated by members of the Nigerian Army who followed his convey with some vehicles, thereby making it impossible for the activist to achieve his aim.
The people are wondering why Security forces who could not come to the aid of the villagers when the suspected Fulani Herdsmen attacked and killed scores of them are now mobilised to stop Mr. Igboho from assessing the extent of damage unleashed on the community.
This observation has fueled the suspicion among the residents that the Nigerian government knows more thatn it is admitting about the mass killing of people in the state
