A senior official of Lobi Stars of Makurdi, Divine Ogbonnaya, has resigned his appointment with the former NPFL champions.
In a statement, he personally signed, Ogbonnaya, who until his resignation was the Management consultant to the team said he’s calling it quit because the environment was no longer conducive for him to work.
“I’ve served Lobi Stars for almost eight years and it’s time for me to move on. I’m leaving the team with lots of experience having worked with different managers in my stint with the team. Sadly, I’ve to move on because the atmosphere was no longer conducive for me to achieve the aim I joined the team,” he said.
Ogbonnaya thanked the Benue State government, the management of Lobi Stars and the people of Benue State for the opportunity to serve and promised to make himself available in future is the right environment is provided.
Lobi Stars are presently occupying the eighth spot on the NPFL log after beating FC Ifeanyi Ubah 2-0 on Sunday.
The Ortom Boys have amassed 31 points from 20 games so far this season.
