Jose Mourinho has been sacked by English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
Barely 17 months on the job, the Portuguese replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs manager in November 2019 and guided the club to sixth in the Premier League last season.
Spurs are currently seventh, having picked up two points from their past three league games, and were knocked out of the Europa League in March.
Spurs face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
Reports suggest Mourinho was given the boot after an explosive morning where he refused to take players onto training ground over the club’s proposed Super League admission.
The 58-year old Portuguese manager was hired on November 20, 2019, on a four-year contract
However, barely halfway into the contract, the parties have ended their relationship.
